Adult Individual Therapy

Adult Individual Therapy

Adult Individual Therapy, Couples & Group Therapy at Atlanta Treatment Center Therapy is a process through which clients work one-on-one or in a group with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change. Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which one or more therapists treat a small group of clients together and utilize the group dynamic and the sharing process to facilitate growth and change.

Behavioral approaches help engage people in drug abuse treatment, provide incentives for them to remain abstinent, modify their attitudes and behaviors related to drug abuse, and increase their life skills to handle stressful circumstances and environmental cues that may trigger intense craving for drugs and prompt another cycle of compulsive abuse.
